Happy birthday to us, Happy Birthday to us, Happy Birthday Dear CQ, Happy Birthday to us! Thatās right, itās our 2nd birthday, and weāre officially toddling around, bumping into things, and even forming rudimentary complete sentences. We've done 731 games this far (thanks to the Leap Year) so not including the occasional Win quotes, Game Packs or One Shots, that's 3,655 individual movie quotes. Good grief, that's a lot. We're the most grizzled, eye-weary, Nick Nolte-voiced two year old in the daily game pantheon.
Weāre gonna be down here at your local Chuck E. Cheese ordering hastily made pizzas and handing out tokens for SkeeBall if anybody wants to swing by and wish us happy birthday. Or say hi on any of our Socials (listed at the bottom.) And if you really wanna be sweet, you could join up as a Member.

HOME ALONE absolutely blowtorched all of its rivals this week, paint-canning its way to a yuletide 97.2% win rate. Only a few of you angels with dirty faces couldnāt figure out we were doing the seminal holiday classic. Weāre guessing those who missed it heard Harry and Marvās voice and guessed Home Alone 2 with their final guess. Donāt sweat it. There are plenty more holiday movies on deck.
Wes Andersonās THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL checked out early with a pretty gloomy 44.2% win rate. This may be a situation where the quotes we picked were just a little too hard, as The GBH was a pretty widely seen movie. If we had used more quotes using keywords like āBudapestā, āhotelā, or even something āgrandā, that would have helped, but we wanted to make it a bit difficult.
Most Aced Movie 52.6% | Speaking of things that werenāt too difficult, HOME ALONE hot-doorknobbed our servers with an astronomical 52.6% Ace Rate. So, of the people who got Home Alone correct, HALF OF THEM got it on the first clue! We thought no one would remember what Old Man Marley sounded like in that churchā¦annnnnnnnnnd we were wrong. Just like Marv was wrong to think pulling on that cord in the basement was gonna turn on a light. POW! Next time we do Home Alone, weāll try to make it a little harder, cuz like a poker cheatās sleeve, thatās too many Aces. Still, hold on to those Aces and be proud of them as you never know when or where theyāll arise. āYou can say hello when you see me. You don't have to be afraid. ARMY OF SHADOWS (1969) An account of underground resistance fighters in Nazi-occupied France. āFantastic war movie from a perspective we donāt get a lot with our typical American fare. A little sad it took me so long to see this, and one of the best personal discoveries of the year, itās written and directed by Jean-Pierre Melville and will turn you into a fan of his work if you werenāt already.ā -Sean āI concur!
