We Have No Trade Deadline

If you’re looking for any commentary on recent NBA trades, you’re gonna be disappointed. This here is CineQuote! The only basketball we care about is Hoosiers, The Air Up There, White Men Can’t Jump, Hoop Dreams, and most importantly, Air Bud. No Stephen A. Smith breakdowns here, in fact, if you hear Stephen A. Smith’s voice it’s because the movie of the day is probably Creed 3 (one of his only film “acting” credits.)
A quick note on Game Packs. Some of you have no clue what a Game Pack is, well, take a look down near the bottom (or top) on your phone today when playing CineQuote today. You’ll see a little tab that says Packs and a gift icon. Well, those are little gifts to you. Game Packs are multiple CineQuote games that can be played right now, and are shareable with friends. Each pack has a theme and some are only around for a limited time. Game Packs do not affect user stats/streaks. And this week we made one featuring David Lynch films for all to play, but we also made a special one for Members called Hardcore Mode. These are like Sunday Stumpers on steroids. If you are looking for a challenge, let's see if you can conquer those. If you want to give it a try and aren’t a member, join up today to access that Pack as well as the other cool member benefits. Alright, let’s look over last week’s numbers…
Last Week’s Highlights
Highest Win Percentage 93.3% | Lowest Win Percentage 53.7% |
SE7EN took the top spot this week with a 93.3% win rate. We’re pretty sure that’s not the Scripp’s preferred way of spelling seven, so we went in and tweaked the game so if you entered it without the 7 in there the right answer would come up. Please don’t feel wrath towards us if you wished we had not meddled…
As a farewell to David Lynch week, WILD AT HEART befuddled players with a 53.7% win rate. Any of you candy colored clowns who got it probably know Lynch’s body of work, or were able to work out that it was the 6th movie in a row we did from Uncle Dave. However ya got there, hats off to ya. Maybe now we can stop thinking about Willem Dafoe’s teeth for a few months.
Most Aced Movie 19.1% | Ace rate went to the first Avenger, Mr. Steve Rogers in his 2nd standalone feature, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. “Let me ask you a question. What if Pakistan marched into Mumbai tomorrow and you knew that they were going to drag your daughters into a soccer stadium for execution? And you could just stop it with the flick of the switch. Wouldn't you? Wouldn't you all?” “Not if it was your switch.” We thought it was gonna be tougher for people to figure out Robert Redford and his hypothetical blustery, but nope. Just over 19% of you snapped up an Ace for your record books. |
CQ Recommends

Rough weekend? Running a fever? Time for a movie.
Set in the early 1980s, a string of violent robberies in the Pacific Northwest leads veteran FBI agent Terry Husk (Jude Law) to investigate a white supremacist group. “Usually don’t use this space to recommend new movies, but a lot of people haven’t heard of this one, let alone given it a chance. The Order is a dark, well-paced action thriller is based on a true story and features a real rough and tumble Jude Law performance.” - Sean |
